Glass Cutting Classes

STUDENTS MUST BE 18 OR OLDER

In this class, students will learn about different tools for cutting glass. Students will then learn several glass cutting techniques.  Skills taught include:

• Cutting using paper patterns as a guide
• Cutting curves
• Tapping and running scores
• Cutting different types of glass
• using various tool used to cut glass
• Cutting glass to a sharp point (not as easy as you think!)

All supplies and tools are provided.  

This class is a skill based class where we will practice several glass cutting techniques in order to hone our skills. We will cover all of the cuts you need to move forward in different stained glass projects. students in this class will not build a stained glass window to take home as in other classes but you will instead take home new skills that enable you to handle more challenging classes.

Classes are held on  scheduled Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. (see booking calendar) ​The classes are held at Sycamore Studio/Gallery 26, 26 East Baltimore Avenue, Lansdowne, PA. Click on "Book now" button and click on "Glass Cutting Class" to see available dates of classes. Then click on the date and time of your preferred class in order to register.

The class fee of $150 will be required at the time of booking. Cancellations must be at least 7 days in advance of the class in order to receive a refund.  After 7 days, we will not be able to refund the class fee but a credit may be applied to a future class. 

Each class will have 2 - 4 students and we will cancel the class if the minimum number are not registered three days before the class is scheduled.  In the case of a class cancellation, a full refund will be made.

A liability waiver must be signed before taking this class.  Please wear closed toed shoes
