The Art of richard prigg

Rick's personal artwork focuses on the variations of transparency and density in different types of glass and its counterpoint to the opacity of both the leadlines and the frame. Various qualities of transparency and translucency  bring a three dimensional aspect to the work as distant objects are revealed, distorted or obscured. Rick is also interested in following the elements of change in his materials brought on by daylight’s natural shifts in color and brightness. This element of change through time, essentially a fourth dimension, reveals the innate qualities of glass's special relationship to light.
